REPTON SWIMMING CROWNED NATIONAL ARENA LEAGUE CHAMPIONS
Repton Swimming have been crowned National Arena League champions, marking a historic milestone for the club.
Competing in the national final for the third consecutive year, the team built on previous finishes of fourth in 2024 and second in 2025 to claim a superb victory.
Having qualified by winning the West Midlands Premier Division in December, Repton delivered a composed and determined performance against strong opposition including Guildford City, Mount Kelly and Millfield. The team took the overall lead after 23 of the 51 events and never looked back.
There were standout individual performances throughout. Mollie M (B-Block) secured a dominant win in the 13/14 100m Backstroke, finishing nearly four seconds clear of the field. Kate S (A-Block) was recognised as the highest individual points scorer in her age group, underlining her consistency across the competition.
Lydia C (A-Block) and Austyn M (O-Block) each competed in six events, making a significant contribution to the team’s success across the day.
A fitting conclusion came in the final race, the 8x50m cannon relay, anchored by Club Captain Harry M (U6th), who has represented Repton at every Arena League final. Repton’s victory in this event cemented their overall triumph.
The final standings saw Repton finish first with 408 points, ahead of Guildford City (383 points) and Mount Kelly (342 points) - a remarkable achievement and a testament to the strength and depth of swimming at Repton.
