FACILITIES & FIXTURES

The sports facilities at Repton Prep are exceptional and allow all pupils to participate, as well as to train to a high level:

  • A full-size floodlit sand-based Astroturf
  • Six lane 25m indoor heated swimming pool
  • Sports Hall with three indoor cricket nets and a climbing wall
  • Hard netball courts
  • Six cricket pitches – four grass squares, one artificial wicket and a cricket pavilion
  • Nine football pitches
  • Six rounders pitches
  • Grass running track and cross-country course
  • Four hard tennis courts
  • Lake for sailing and canoeing
  • Low ropes course

DID YOU KNOW

Some House events are long-standing traditions at Repton Prep, such as the eagerly anticipated Tug o War, which has been an annual event since the 1940s.

FIXTURES

Our fixture programme is substantial and engages pupils of all abilities. We regularly field weekly fixtures across all age groups from Year 3 to Year 8. This is in addition to the competitively fought inter-house competitions. House events are enjoyed throughout the academic year by all pupils in the Prep school (Years 3 to 8). 

In Years 7 and 8 we run an extensive fixture list during all three terms in our major sports. In Years 4, 5 and 6 we run two teams per age group most weeks. Other competitive sports on offer at Repton Prep include swimming, athletics and tennis. Parents are encouraged to support our teams when playing in 'away' matches and events.

DEVELOPMENTS

At Repton and Repton Prep we are focused on and dedicated to a co-educational approach to sporting excellence for girls and boys through hockey, football, cricket, tennis and swimming, while maintaining strength in traditional areas such as netball and athletics. To ensure that we always offer a sports programme for all abilities, we are planning sustained investment in sport, as detailed in the School’s Strategic Plan.
