SPIRIT OF PLACE

SCHOOL HISTORY
& THE FUTURE

Repton Prep (formerly known as Foremarke Hall) was established in 1940 at The Cross, Repton (which is now one of our Senior School's six boys boarding houses), moving to its current home Foremarke Hall - a grand palladian mansion set in 55 acres of rolling Derbyshire countryside three miles away from Repton, in 1947.

Today Repton Prep is a world-class, modern, flourishing community with a clear sense of purpose and momentum as part of the Repton Family of Schools. As a pre-eminent co-educational boarding and day school in the heart of England, we provide a truly balanced education, blending heritage with the pursuit of excellence in a 21st century context, offering world-class facilities but above all, high-quality teaching and outstanding pastoral care.

Whilst it is undoubtedly modern in terms of practice and outlook, the traditional values of encouraging pupils to aim high whilst showing respect for all are still of utmost importance.
