OUTSTANDING PASTORAL CARE

Repton’s outstanding pastoral care is at the heart of our approach to safeguarding, with a network of monitoring and support in place to ensure that issues are avoided and where they arise, they are dealt with before they become a significant problem.

We call this proactive and predictive system ‘Wellworks’. 

Repton actively promotes safeguarding such that it is embedded in daily life. Staff will act on any concerns, whilst Reptonians can speak up with confidence knowing that they will be listened to and that appropriate support and action will follow. In all cases we will look to take a child centred approach and our policies and processes will shape our response.

SAFER RECRUITMENT

Repton School has a responsibility to create a culture of safe recruitment, which we take very seriously. Our Recruitment and Selection Disclosure Policy and Procedure is set firmly within our practice to inform safe decisions concerning the suitability of a prospective employee.

HISTORIC COMPLAINTS

If you are an OR and have a complaint about a former member of staff, you can either email the Headmaster directly or contact Derbyshire Police.

Any matter that is raised with the school will be dealt with in line with the School's safeguarding policy and with relevant legislation and national guidance. This may require us to report it to the police or other agencies such as the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO).
