A NEW SCHOOL WITH AN ESTEEMED HISTORY

Repton Bahrain will open for pupils aged 3 to 18, bringing one of Britain’s most respected independent schools to the Kingdom for the first time. Its 32,000 square-metre campus has been designed around how pupils will learn and live, with digital classrooms and a purpose-built sixth form centre sitting alongside a six-lane swimming pool, an athletics track, and 4G sports pitches, ensuring every part of what makes a Repton education so distinctive is available from their very first day.

Pupils will study International GCSEs, and A levels, following the same pathway that has taken generations of Reptonians to Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard and Yale, amongst other leading universities around the world. For families in Bahrain, that means an education shaped by almost 470 years of Repton tradition, offered close to home, and alongside the values and culture that matter to them.

Close to the King Fahd Causeway, the school is within easy reach for families across the Kingdom and in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province.

Repton’s arrival marks a significant moment for education in Bahrain. Founded in England in 1557 and now at the heart of a family of thirteen schools spanning across three continents, Repton is now opening its doors to the first generation of Bahraini Reptonians.

ABOUT REPTON BAHRAIN

BUILT on REPTON

Repton School was founded in Derbyshire in 1557 and is one of the UK’s pre-eminent boarding and day schools.

It is small enough for every pupil to be known as an individual and large enough to compete, and win, on the national and international stage: seventy per cent of leavers go on to Oxbridge, Russell Group or Ivy League universities, and in 2025/26 alone Repton reached 19 national sporting finals and won 14 of them.

The Independent Schools Inspectorate has rated Repton Excellent in every area it inspected.

Repton Bahrain is built on the same ambitions and principles.

PART OF A global family OF 13 SCHOOLS

Repton Bahrain joins a family of schools educating 11,000 pupils across three continents, sharing teachers, lessons,  and ideas.

Pupils across the Family learn Latin, Mandarin, and Arabic online from Repton teachers around the world, and share and take part in masterclasses throughout the entire family of schools.

The Repton Family first came to the Middle East in 2007 as the first British school to open in the United Arab Emirates, with Repton Dubai.

WHAT A REPTON education MEANS

Unbounded

Seventy per cent of Repton leavers go on to Oxbridge, Russell Group or Ivy League universities, and Reptonians are studying today at Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, Princeton, Stanford, Harvard and Brown.

Rounded

Every pupil plays sport at least three times a week, and more than 90% represent the school competitively. In 2025/26 alone, Repton reached 19 national finals and won 14 of them. The arts thrive on the same terms: recent productions have been recognised by the National Student Theatre Awards, and Reptonians have gone on to win prestigious scholarships in music, art and design.

Grounded

Every pupil belongs to a House, a home within the school where pastoral care comes first. It is that sense of security which gives Reptonians the confidence to take every opportunity Repton offers.
