SISTER ACT RECEIVES FIVE NATIONAL SCHOOL THEATRE AWARD NOMINATIONS

Repton School’s spectacular production of Sister Act has been nominated for five National School Theatre Awards, following a dazzling performance that captivated visiting NSTA adjudicators on Thursday 13th November.

With its West End–quality set, exceptional lighting design, and a cast delivering heartfelt, high-energy performances, Sister Act has been celebrated as one of Repton’s most outstanding productions to date.

The adjudicators praised the show as “joyful and heartfelt”, commending its “polished, high-energy musical theatre” and applauding the “sharp choreography, vibrant musical numbers, and committed performances.”

A special mention was given to Enaka B, whose powerful portrayal of Deloris Van Cartier impressed with “charismatic presence and vocal power.” Izzie H was also recognised for her mature, nuanced performance as Mother Superior.

Further commendations were awarded to Lottie W, Freya L, Louis W, and Henry H, each delivering performances that contributed to the show’s energy and humour.

Behind the scenes, the production’s technical skills also drew acclaim. The lighting design by Jonathan B was highlighted as a standout element.  Jonathan’s hours of dedication in the 400 Hall resulted in a design that elevated the entire production.

Repton is now proudly shortlisted for:

  • Best Lead Female: Enaka B
  • Best Supporting Female: Lottie W
  • Best Lighting Design by a Pupil: Jonathan B
  • Best Musical
  • Best Ensemble

The winners will be announced at a prestigious ceremony in June 2026.
