REPTON'S U19 NETBALL TEAM CROWNED COUNTY CHAMPIONS

Repton’s U19 Netball team recently produced a series of impressive displays to secure the county title.

The team faced what proved to be their toughest test of the tournament in their opening game against Trent. In a closely fought content, both teams demonstrated excellent skill, intensity and determination, but Repton held their nerve in the closing stages to secure a well-earned 7-5 victory.

They then found their stride, producing a dominant performance against Ecclesbourne to record a convincing 17-1 win. Further strong displays followed with victories over Woodlands (17-5), Littleover (13-3) and Lady Manners (9-3), with every player contributing to the team's success through disciplined defensive work, accurate shooting and excellent movement through the court.

The final match of the day saw Repton face QEGS in another high-quality encounter. Despite tired legs after a long day of competition, the team maintained their composure and produced some excellent passages of play to secure a 12-8 victory and complete an unbeaten tournament.

A special congratulations goes to Ella Mae Reeves, who was deservedly named Player of the Tournament for her outstanding performances and consistent impact throughout the competition.

The players showed fantastic teamwork, resilience and determination throughout the day, finishing with six wins from six matches and earning their place at the Regional Round in January.
