CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY OFFERS FOR REPTON SCHOOL PUPILS

We are immensely proud to announce that all five of our Upper Sixth pupils who submitted applications to the University of Cambridge for September 2024 have received offers this week.

Congratulations to Jenna L (Medicine, Gonville and Caius College), Vojtech P (Mathematics, St John's College), Jenny C (Modern and Medieval Languages, Homerton College), Harriet H (Modern and Medieval Languages, Girton College) and Elena K (Economics, Trinity College).

Old Reptonian Florence Thomas has also seen Cambridge success, receiving an unconditional offer to study English (Girton College) following her highly impressive A level results of A*A*A*A* last summer.

Repton is committed to the provision of the best possible higher education support and advice for all pupils. We encourage pupils to research, explore and discuss their aspirations while also ensuring that each pupil receives appropriate advice and guidance at key points during his or her school career.

Academic departments provide a great deal of individual support for pupils who wish to study at the Universities of Oxford or Cambridge. Candidates will meet regularly with a dedicated Oxbridge Co-ordinator, be given suggested reading and have extra sessions in place to discuss this. The School also provides regular sessions to help pupils prepare for admissions tests and offers a programme of mock interviews.

Repton also extends this higher education support to the Newcastle & Stafford Colleges Group, who received one offer from Oxford (Materials Science) and three from Cambridge (Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Geography). Since the beginning of their partnership with Repton's academic team, the NSCG have seen an outstanding 28 Oxbridge offers.

We are delighted for all of the above pupils, both past and present, for reaching this fantastic milestone in their education journeys, and wish all current pupils the best of luck in their exams next term.
