Bowdon Prep joins the Repton Family of Schools.

Bowdon Prep has now officially become the newest member of the Repton Family of Schools, a partnership that combines the school's close-knit community with the experience, ambition, and resources of a group whose roots stretch back to the founding of Repton School in 1557.

The Repton Family brings together eleven schools across the UK, the Middle East, China and Egypt, each with its own character but united by shared values of respect, wholeness, truth and excellence. For Bowdon Prep, joining the group opens the door to shared expertise in teaching and learning, professional development for staff, and a wider range of opportunities for pupils, from sport and the arts to links with schools across the Repton network.

Bowdon Prep will remain very much itself. The school's warmth, its attention to every child as an individual and its place at the heart of the local community are the qualities that made it such a natural fit for the Repton Family, and they will continue to define life at the school. Its new identity reflects this balance, carrying the Repton crest and the signature "A Repton School" alongside elements that are distinctly Bowdon's own.

The partnership also supports an important step in the school's development, as Bowdon Prep welcomes boys and girls together as a fully co-educational school from September 2026.
