Repton School partners with Nottingham Forest Netball

Repton School has formed a new partnership with Nottingham Forest Netball, one of the leading franchises in the Netball Super League, bringing franchise coaching to the School and giving girls a clear pathway to the highest level of the sport.

Netball is one of the fastest-growing sports for girls at Repton, and the partnership marks the next step in that growth. Backed by Premier League Nottingham Forest and led by former England international Chelsea Pitman, the club reached the Super League semi-finals in only its second season. Its coaching team will now work alongside Repton's staff to develop netball at the School and across Derbyshire.

The partnership launched with an open taster day in Repton's indoor facilities, and new programmes are already underway.

Laura Turner, Assistant Director of Sport and Head of Netball, said: "This partnership is going to be massive for Repton. It will get a lot of girls playing netball on our doorstep, from under-8s to under-18s. Young people need to see role models, and having Nottingham Forest's players come into Repton to coach is amazing."

Corey-Jo McGlynn, Community Manager at Nottingham Forest Netball, said: "We're very proud to partner with Repton School. We believe netball is for everyone, and Repton's facilities are going to help us give more young people the chance to play each week and be part of a proud club."
