PASTORAL CARE

KINDNESS & INCLUSIVITY

At Repton Prep we value each pupil as an individual with their own unique talents and personality. We nurture strengths and develop other areas to aid children and young adults to reach their full potential and this supportive environment in turn fosters kindness, understanding and inclusivity within the pupil body.

THE HOUSE SYSTEM

A key strand of Repton Prep’s pastoral care comes through our House system, which provides a supportive community for day and boarding pupils alike. Each pupil is assigned to either Alexander, Mountbatten, Tedder or Wavell and offers Reptonians a sense of identity.

At Repton Prep, we know that participation in whatever arena fosters wellbeing. Throughout the year, there are a variety of House competitions in which pupils have the opportunity to represent their House. These competitions include elements of academic endeavour, sports, music, drama and the arts, with some varying due to the age of the pupils. Siblings will be allocated the same house. House competitions run each term and vary depending on the age of the children.

UNIFORM

Uniform provides pupils with a sense of belonging and promotes a collective identity, showing pride in their School. At Repton Prep, we are a truly co-educational school with an even number of girls and boys. Our A&B pupil-driven uniform is popular from nursery through to year, allowing pupils free choice and the ability to feel secure and comfortable whilst at School.
