DAY or BOARDING

At Repton Prep, the school day starts for Day pupils with registration at 8.20am and then finishes at 4.00pm, with extra-curricular and after-school clubs extending into the evening. There are also lessons on Saturday mornings.

Many of our pupils choose to board at Repton Prep. Boarders are fully integrated into the day community whilst benefitting from the personal and social development that boarding offers. Boarders gather in the dining hall for breakfast each morning before the start of the school day and then gain extra support with their prep work after school hours and participate in extra-curricular activites.

Boarding enables children to become fully immersed in all that Repton Prep has to offer. Our after-school clubs and activities include musical groups, drama groups, a huge variety of sports, fun science, languages, and engineering - every child has the opportunity to try new skills and hone existing talents. For boarders this goes even further with talks, visits, adventures and the run of our wild and wonderful 55-acre site - all on the doorstep of their House.

One celebrated aspect of life at Repton Prep is our approach to boarding. Boarding brings lifelong skills, teaching children independence, collaboration and emotional intelligence that they need to thrive. The caring, supportive atmosphere we provide ensures that the pupils who board, whether full-time, home and away, weekly or flexi, feel safe, secure and happy.

LATE
applications

Although our main intake of new pupils is in September, children join us at many different entry points throughout the academic year with a seamless transition. Please contact the Admissions Manager to discuss the availability of places for the different year groups.

BUS routes

Our comprehensive bus service is available for pupils from Year 1 upwards (with consideration given to Reception pupils using the bus accompanied by an older sibling). Services operate to and from both our Prep School and Senior School sites, Monday to Saturday covering four different routes.

Bus Routes Document

All drivers carry mobile phones (though for safety they cannot answer these while driving) and regular drivers are used to ensure continuity; all are qualified and DBS cleared. The drivers are updated daily on bus occupancy and the School endeavour to ensure that each driver knows exactly who is getting on the bus at which stop.

These routes are subject to change and are adjusted annually to enable as many pupils as possible to make use of the service.

For more details and to book the service, please contact the School Office.
