BE THE BEST YOU

EXTRA CURRICULAR

To create a truly balanced education means ensuring that children have access to a rich variety of learning opportunities beyond the classroom. We want children’s time at Repton Prep to be a journey of discovery and this means ensuring that they are presented with unique and exciting opportunities far beyond what the traditional school day might offer.

EXTRA CURRICULAR activities

The variety of extra-curricular options available to Repton Prep pupils is an essential ingredient to discovering every talent and nurturing new skills in each child. There are plenty of opportunities for pupils to try something new, extend their enthusiasm and develop lifelong interests and every child is encouraged to ‘have a go’.

These groups and clubs – including LAMDA, musical ensembles and choirs, performance clubs and specialist hobbies - operate before school, during lunchtimes and after school.

DID YOU KNOW...

“The library will inspire, as will the theatre and the sports hall. The triple highlights, though, are the Charles Jennings music school (named after Handel’s librettist) and the exceptional art studio and DT centre. We especially liked the pencil portraits in the former, while the latter is the pit-stop for four electric racing cars. These compete on circuits such as Goodwood and Rockingham, the school holding the course record at Aintree, on the track – adjacent to the Grand National fences – that used to host the British Grand Prix.”

STRUCTURE
of the DAY

The formal day finishes for the younger children at 3:30pm and for the older pupils at 4pm but most children stay on to get involved in after school activities. This is so much more than just after school care. It is intrinsic to our commitment to developing young people eager to take on new endeavours, push themselves and seek out challenges that will help them flourish in every aspect of their learning and beyond. These clubs, from watersports to fencing, puzzling to model building, also provides a unique way to develop meaningful friendships outside their year groups.
