A dedication service at St George's Memorial Church took place in St Georges Chapel, Ypres. Many regiments, organisations and schools have plaques to commemorate those who fell during the war. Tours of the Battlefield took place in the afternoon by Major John Cotterill, a current parent and Chairman of the Sherwood Foresters Western Front Memorial Committee.
