Vocal Masterclass

Thursday’s vocal masterclass in the Beldam Hall was a fascinating insight into the world of singing. Miss Kennedy coached singers from all year groups in a wide variety of song styles, ranging from early Italian arias to twentieth century English repertoire.



Pupils explored all sorts of aspects of singing, from posture to the techniques of breathing, and on to the interpretation of songs in different languages. There were some fabulous performances. With Mr Parés accompanying, in the splendid Beldam Hall, the singers were truly fortunate to work with a coach and soloist of such renown. They rose to the challenge, and there were some exciting sounds and discoveries. Congratulations to all participants!
