After years of near misses, the Latham boys finally brought home some silverware from the House Unison competition held in Pears School on Friday 29th January. Taking on the challenge of Van Morrison's classic 'Brown-eyed girl' under the expert baton of Richard Duggleby (U6), the boys put in a highly professional, polished and entertaining performance which left the judge, Robin Tyson (ex-King's Singers), hugely impressed. As the best boys' House, Richard duly carried off the "Highly Commended" trophy back to Tanners Lane. The whole House must be congratulated for coming together and working so well, and hopes are now high for the Harmony competition, in which Owen Winter's arrangement of The Beach Boys' 'Good Vibrations' is eagerly awaited.
