Match Report:

The girls have grown in confidence over the past five days and were still on a high from our convincing win on Tuesday.  It was a real treat for us to play inside at Trent even though some of the girls were struggling to decide which lines were for netball. We played a good first quarter with lots of movement and good passing which gave us a convincing lead. The second quarter was when we really went up a gear and Sophie was having a blinder as GK, with lots of good interceptions and using a height to real advantage, making life difficult for the GS.

At half time we were 14-5 up and we were playing some really positive netball. The girls work well as a team and now feel confident enough to pass the ball around and wait for the opportunity. Again, Milly had a fantastic game and she has become a much more determined player and takes charge of her area. Phoebe, yet again was fantastic in midcourt play, she is so athletic and the opposition were struggling to keep up with her. Meg and Emily were also brilliant and work together in defence, holding up the relevant players. Esther was always on the move and her shooting was definitely on form today. We finished the match 28-12 and again the girls well and truly deserved this victory.

The opposition team coach said to me after the game that our girls looked very fit and athletic and were a joy to watch. She also mentioned that Sophie, Milly and Phoebe had fantastic games. From this I have given Phoebe and Sophie player of the match, well done to the both of you and also to the whole team.LJB
