Match Report: This proved to be a match that was played in the very best of spirits and I have to commend the whole of the Repton 15B team for their positive approach throughout. They proved that they can work together extremely well and keep motivated in a challenging situation. From the first quarter Oundle took the lead but some super defending by Millie Louch and captain Holly Harcus ensured that Repton were still very much in the game after the first quarter. Our shooters were on form and on target in the second quarter, working well to create opportunities and make the most of them Maddie Kelly and Immy Clarke worked well as a team and were well supported by our centre court players, led by Bethan Lewis at centre. The half time score was Oundle 20 : Repton 10 and the girls were still determined to keep fighting. In the second half Rosie Cordingly joined Immy in the D and Maddie Kelly moved out to work as WA where she won a good deal of ball. Meg Ewins proved to be an extremely important player in the second half, working solidly, along with Millie and Holly to prevent the Oundle score from escalating further. As the final whistle blew, I was so pleased that the girls had held their heads high throughout and even went so far as to say that it was the most fun they had had in a netball match ever! Credit must go to both the Oundle players and their umpire for making it such a good natured match! SLC
