Match Report:

Having struggled to achieve consistency when shooting in past matches, it was great to see GS Ellie Sharples and GA Pip Sanders demonstrate impressive accuracy beneath the goal throughout the Worksop match. The shooters worked together much more effectively as a team and used Nodira Ashurova and Caitlin Chadwick (at Centre and Wing Attack respectively) to move the ball around the semi circle in order to create opportunities to score from close to the post. At GD and GK, Kate Benn and Heather Marsay were quick to jump for rebounds, and snatched loose balls away from the opposition within their own half. Charlotte Graham and Grace Sanderson both played strong defensive roles, cutting out centre passes and moving into space to generate momentum up the court. NJC
