Match Report:

Unfortunately, a slow start in the first quarter put Kimbolton ahead and Repton found themselves under pressure once more. The second and third quarters were much more positive, with Nodira Ashurova restricting the movement of her Kimbolton opposite at Centre, whilst generating plenty of passing opportunities herself. Kate Benn certainly had the measure of her Goal Attack, and blocked extremely effectively. Despite fighting back to even the score in the third quarter, Kimbolton found something else in reserve during the final 12minutes of play to pull in front by a clear gap (24-19). Repton were perhaps unlucky to lose out in another close match but Kimbolton played the most consistent netball. Repton will need to start much more dynamically in the county tournament later this week.
