Match Report:

Having lost the last couple of extremely tight matches, the U15As played a strong attacking game from the very first whistle against Chellaston. Heather Marsay played a commanding role beneath the post, preventing the Chellaston GS from finding much space and feeding the ball out to Grace Sanderson who dodged effectively around her player. Charlotte Graham had a competitive battle against another athletic Centre, with both players demonstrating impressive movement around the semi-circle. Lauren Phillips and Ellie Sharples had their most consistent game to date, working effectively as a team in order to create shooting opportunities. At the end of the first half, Repton had established a strong lead, but all credit goes to Chellaston who fought back convincingly in the third quarter, winning that period 9-7. In the final quarter, Repton looked to control their passing and make the most of their centre passes. Kate Benn’s blocking at GD helped to restrict the GA’s chances in the D and whilst the whole team certainly started to tire, they successfully held on to their goal advantage to win 28-16. NJC
