Match Report:

This was an excellent all-round performance. The home side won the toss and chose to bat first. Good Repton bowling and fielding helped to restrict the runs, particularly the overs of spin from Kieran Fenton ( 4 overs 3 -22) and Sam Cotter ( 4 overs, 1-12 ). A flying start by Fenton and Goodacre who put on 49 for the first wicket in 6 overs, put us ahead of the required rate. When wickets fell, new partnerships were quickly established and each player made his own contribution. Rapid running between the wickets and confident striking of the ball from James Gough and Luke Cosford, mighty blows from Tom Bacon ( three 4s and a six ) and excited support from the Repton contingent saw us home for a well-deserved victory and a place in the Midlands Final ( last 8 nationally ).
