The Cross snaffle the first silverware of 2011-12!

Having won the Noel Bennett Trophy (O and A Block House Sixes Football) on goal difference last year, a strong squad of nine boys defended the trophy successfully on the first Saturday of the Michaelmas Term.

Captained by Ryan Binns, the squad included Robbie Astin, George Cohen, Joel Atkin, Charlie Cohen, Ed Ballantyne-Rowland, Dominic Johnson-Kerr, Jones Tidy and Theo Morris. The format of the competition pitches every house against the others. This year goal difference was irrelevant as The Cross defeated all-comers. Each boy played a crucial role in the victory, with goals shared throughout the squad. Ed Ballantyne-Rowland was the destroyer-in-chief, however, with thirteen goals notched over the course of the afternoon.

All bodes well for a successful year for The Cross!
