The last two days of term saw the athletics finals, superbly organised by Mrs Bordoli take place.
Mitre put in a very strong performance across the two days and recorded some stunning results. The House was leading by the end of the first day, which put us in a strong position going into the running events on the final day.
The final results were: Mitre, 289, Garden, 215, Abbey, 215 and Field, 151. This result is a full reflection of team effort and the girls should be delighted with their performance. It means the Mitre wins the overall athletics cup for the second year running! Last year the second day of the event was unable to go ahead due to bad weather on the Friday, so the trophy was based just on the Field events. It was wonderful to see all the races filled on both days and the fact that so many girls wanted to be in the events is testimony to the strength of the Spirit of the House.
Well done girls on a superb effort in this final event of the year!
