The artist: Catherine McGrath

Catherine McGrath has had the honour of having her own solo exhibition on the High Street in Repton with her name up in big letters, rather than lights! The exhibition is entitled 'Simplicity' and in the words of her art teacher Mr Whitfield  "the work is the result of the artist spending some months looking around slightly differently and seeing and subtly illuminating the poetry already in some of the ordinary objects and processes that are in her daily line of sight. These things are simply held up to the light to be seen as they are, or are re-seen in some new material and form or are or watched closely to see them play out their natural stories. Please spend a moment enjoying seeing whether you can see what the artist has seen the same way: See."  Congratulations Catherine, on your well deserved moment of glory at Repton.
