Swine Flu Advice

Many experts predict that the most likely time for an outbreak of the virus could be this autumn and given the lack of immunity to this virus some of our pupils may already be infected. The latest government advice suggests that it would be unlikely that the school would close under such circumstances, but the school does not have the facilities to deal with large numbers of ill pupils, especially as many of our staff would probably also be ill.

Pupils who are ill will need to be collected by parents or guardians, and then returned to school when they have recovered. May we therefore remind you of the need to have arrangements in place for collection of pupils from school within 24 hours of a request to do so.
