The team this year was confident of a win or at least a high placing after our success last year. We were proven correct with a win in the first race, the B Block Front crawl relay (Jack Clarke, Daniel Vincent, Ben Nevill and Alex Nield). After that we scored high in the points, whilst having to put up with some competition from Latham and School House. The Senior Front Crawl relay team – Frank Flight, Mark Smith, Liam Fletcher and Luke Duggan – sped to first in the penultimate race, meaning that for the Canon Medley we required a win to secure the trophy.

For the final race we started off slowly, but, after two lengths, we had started to get ahead. By the half-way point we had greatly extended the lead due to some quick pace from the two breaststroke swimmers, Frank Flight and Danny Buckland. After that holding our lead to the end was easy and we romped home to first place and another piece of silverware for the trophy cabinet. There was some superb swimming by the entire team, showing some good potential for the main house gala later this term. Really well done, boys!
