Sunday afternoon House trip

This Sunday the afternoon provided a perfect opportunity for another Mitre House trip.

The girls were very keen to see the new Twilight film – “Breaking Dawn” so yesterday afternoon after a delicious roast lunch shared with The Abbey we went by coach to Derby Westfield Centre. There was just about some time for a spot of Christmas shopping before the film showing.

The girls stocked up on plenty of sweets and popcorn before watching the film. The reviews afterwards were certainly mixed although everyone had enjoyed the opportunity to have a trip out. The film showing was followed by a nice supper at Pizza Express – with the girls enjoying some classic pizza and pasta to top off the afternoon.

The trip ws very well supported and it was lovely to see a mix of girls from across all year groups out together and enjoying each other’s company. This was just the tonic that was needed before the final three weeks of term and we are very grateful to Miss Davison (resident House tutor) and Miss Michell for so kindly coming with us.
