Success of Mitre musicians!

Success of Mitre musicians!

We are delighted to report that a number of talented Mitre musicians have been awarded school colours for music so far this academic year.

The following were awarded music colours at the end of last term, and are some of just a handful of musicians in the school to be given this prestigious award.

Elizabeth Duggleby L6M
Stephanie Hale L6M
Polly Sloman 5M

This is an excellent achievement and is the mark of the hard work the girls have put into their role in Repton music and the contribution they have made to a number of musical commitments last term.

There have also been some excellent results from music grade examinations taken at the end of last term and it is wonderful to be able to celebrate these as a measure of the hard work that the girls have put into preparing for and taking their grades.

B Blocker Katie Jankinson gained a very good distinction in her Grade 8 violin exam. Emma Stoll U6M also did superbly gaining a distinction in her Grade 8 cello. It is also wonderful to report that Elizabeth Duggleby gained a merit in her Grade 7 flute exam.

Well done to all of these musicians who have proved to be excellent ambassadors for Repton music. We look forward to seeing many of them involved in Charity Cabaret later in the term.
