The lovely weekend weather was a wonderful opportunity for some of the girls to go strawberry picking with Mitre matron Margaret.
The girls had lots of fun, picking strawberries and munching on them as they collected plenty of punnets. They then bought these back to the House of tea. It’s amazing how quickly freshly picked strawberries and cream go down and it was lovely to see the girls getting stuck in and enjoying this special treat!
This weekend’s activity follows on from an afternoon of baking last Sunday afternoon with Margaret. A programme of in-house Sunday activities will continue next year with our first challenge for September being the Mitre entries to the village show!
