Sale of Work – the annual fundraising event – proved to be a huge success, with The Abbey making a huge contribution. The Lower Sixth showed their exceptional organisational and team skills by setting up and managing the various stalls and spending Saturday afternoon, along with the other years, supporting their house and showing a great deal of House spirit.
The Abbey’s takings were amazing, with their extremely popular popcorn stand; the traditional ‘Sweet Nothings’ stall run by the enthusiastic B-block; the delicious ‘Millie’s Cookies’ manned by the A-block; and, their two brand new stalls – face painting and the Polaroid camera, both of which resulted in being a great success!
Luckily, the rain held off and pupils, parents, staff and the local community enjoyed the afternoon and all supported the stalls in true Abbey fashion.
The whole house took to their duties with a great deal of motivation and supported one another – well done girls!
