We have yet to hear of the total raised by The Abbey for Sale of Work Day, but the traditional fair in the grounds of Repton School attracted large numbers of people from the local community, and our stalls were very busy. It was especially satisfying to see that the time spent planning and organising The Abbey stalls had been worthwhile. Candyfloss was a winner as usual, although it was a messy job for the L6 girls! There was also a lucky dip, target golf, and bracelets were being being sold. Girls also braved the Autumn chill, to dress as fairies to sell 'Sweet nothing' messsages.
Becky Lawrence and her team of L6 girls desrve a great deal of credit for the work they put into the event. It was also gratifying to hear so many comments prasing the helpfulness and courtesy of the girls as they managed their stalls and helped in Pears School durintg the event.
