The Lent Term was finished off in spectacular style as the Russell Cup was won convincingly by a New House team ably led by Josh Webster and James Leavesley. Their domination over the competition, perfectly demonstrated in the obstacle course where they won by a full 9 minutes over nearest rivals, Priory, was a joy to behold and prompted Maj. Lawrence to comment that '...the team's combination of disciplined cooperation, sense of adventure and willpower embodied the reasons we offer a CCF at the school'. Praise indeed. Well done lads! The A Block boys did well too, narrowly missing out to Abbey in the overall Barnes Squad competition, but winning the cup for the fastest obstacle course time. Well done to them, too, and to Tom Russell (L6th i/c) who managed the boys superbly all day.
