In an amazing start to the Summer Term, the 1st XI Hockey boys were crowned National champions after two dramatic days' play at Cannock. We were proud to have two of our boys from The Cross involved in this fine achievement. In a tense final against Whitgift, Croydon, during which the Repton keeper was yellow carded, Adrian Roseanu defended the D with fierce commitment, repelling attack after attack. At the other end of the pitch, Ricky Ho Chan scored two far-post deflected goals to help Repton win its first Boys' National title, 3-1. Adrian will strive to defend the title next year, in his Upper Sixth year; meanwhile, this was a memorable and fitting way for Ricky to end his Repton hockey career after five years' faithful service.
