Reptonians Inspire Rolls Royce

A joint community venture between the School and Rolls Royce was launched today. As part of their professional development, Rolls Royce has assigned a team of graduates and apprentices to develop an inspirational, fun and educational resource to enrich the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) curriculum and in particular, to encourage Year 9 pupils to consider engineering as a future career.

Initially the team will be meeting with a group of Lower Sixth pupils to develop a suitable theme for the project and to discover how they enjoy learning and what enthuses them. Dr Stuart Ingleston, Head of Biology and the Repton co-ordinator of the scheme said “This is a very exciting project and we are delighted Rolls Royce has chosen Repton to be a partner. Over the next six months our pupils will be involved in creating an exciting enrichment activity to inspire the future generations of engineers not just at Repton School but across the globe.”
