After the heartbreak of losing in both the U15 and U18 ISFA finals last year, Repton made amends in fine fashion, winning the ISFA Six-a-Side competition on home soil on the opening weekend of the new academic year. The nine-man squad included three boys from The Cross: Johnny Gorman, fresh from winning his fourth cap for the full Northern Ireland side against Slovenia on Friday; Kieran Fenton and Liam Kavanagh. Repton won all eight games and conceded only three goals in the tournament. In a tense final against St. Bede's, Repton went ahead early on through a brilliant strike from Gorman. Pegged back to one-all by the end of full time, however, extra-time was needed during which Fenton coolly finished a superb passing move to win the trophy for the school.
