Repton’s International Schools

Repton School has always forged strong international links and many Reptonians have gone on to fill important roles in international relations, from ambassadors to High Commissioners, as well as many more with careers in a wide range of multinational corporations.

Today, pupils from all over the world travel to be educated at Repton; from Japan to Russia, Bulgaria to Zambia, ever strengthening our international outlook. Central to the Repton philosophy is to develop in each pupil a sense that they will one day live and work in a global society and the importance of understanding and respecting different cultures.

The creation of Repton Dubai is an important element in the development of this philosophy. Opened in 2007 to coincide with Repton School’s 450th anniversary, Repton Dubai is the premier British curriculum school and the first boarding school in the Middle-East.
Repton Abu Dhabi and Foremarke Dubai were founded in 2013. Both focused on the primary age group, these schools have particular connections with Foremarke Hall, Repton’s UK prep school.

Strong, practical links between the UK and the Middle Eastern schools are being developed to ensure the relationship is vibrant and with relevant meaning to our pupils.

Repton School in Dubai

Our goal for Repton Dubai is to create the Middle East’s leading international school, rooted in the many and varied strengths of historic Repton School. Situated on a 1.3million square foot area in Nad Al Sheba 3 -4, it is the largest school in the region. The spacious campus is fitted with the latest state-of-the-art facilities and amenities for the highest standards of boarding accommodation, education and a vast array of activities. The English National Curriculum is taught leading on to International GCSEs and the International Baccalaureate Diploma at sixth form level.

Ties between both schools are strong, from the staff to the uniform, from the houses to the Arch. The Headmaster and a member of the governing body of Repton are permanent members of the Repton Dubai board, ensuring the greatest possible coherence between the two schools at all levels. There are also striking similarities in traditions and institutional language; in fact everything that goes into producing a common ethos and two caring, friendly and purposeful school environments some three thousand miles apart.

Dubai Exchange for Y10/A Block pupils

As part of our partnership with Repton Dubai, a group of twelve A Block pupils partake in an exciting exchange trip in March each year. While in Dubai, the pupils follow a full academic programme, closely linked in terms of subjects to the curriculum they follow here at Repton. This is a great opportunity for our pupils to experience and learn from a new culture.
