The Chairman of Repton Dubai Governors, Khaled al Muhairy, announced yesterday, Sunday 6th December, that David Cook has decided to leave the School at the end of his four year tenure on 31st July 2010.
As Founding Headmaster of Repton Dubai he and his team have done a superb job in creating and developing the School to what it is today and in recognition of his contribution to education in Dubai and the wider UAE the new Library will be given his name.
It was also announced that Jonathan Hughes-D’Aeth, the current Head of Milton Abbey School in Dorset, will take over as Headmaster on 1st August 2010. Jonathan, who will be joined by his wife Fiona and their four children, was a former Housemaster at Rugby School and has been Headmaster at Milton Abbey for the last fifteen years. He is also currently a Governor at both Hanford School and Haileybury College and an ISI inspector.
In a letter to Repton Dubai parents Khaled al Muhairy said, “It is with sadness but deep appreciation that we see David and his family leave us. It is with excitement and anticipation we welcome Jonathan and his family.”
