President of the Repton Politics Society – Calum Setterington (U6S) has spent the last two days in London doing work experience for Total Politics magazine during which he enjoyed lunch in House of Commons. Calum was given the task of generating an article whilst having to contact sources in government and the results of his work, on June 29th, can be seen at the following link: http://www.totalpolitics.com/blogs/
As well as work experience with Total Politics magazine – Calum has also been working with Heather Wheeler the new Conservative constituency MP for South Derbyshire. This has involved time in both her local constituency office working on case work and helping her with her work for the Westminster Parliament.
Both contacts came as a result of the “Question Time” event the Politics Society held in the lead up to the General Election this year, in which Calum was instrumental. Clearly Calum is a budding Politician, and we wish him well as he goes on to study Politics at university this autumn.
