Prestigious Music colours for Mitre girl!

Emma Stoll L6M has been awarded music colours for her outstanding contribution to music in her first three terms at Repton. Emma joined the school into the L6th from Derby High School and has made a significant contribution to the school’s musical life in her short time with us.

Last week she took her Grade 8 examination on the piano, and is currently working towards her Grade 8 on the cello, which she hopes to take next term when she returns for her U6th year. Her outstanding ability on both instruments led to her being awarded first prize in this year’s Senior Piano competition, and a highly commended position for her piece on the cello.

Emma has also made a significant contribution to the musical ensembles in the school – playing in orchestra and the strings orchestra. She has also been a very valued and reliable member of both Chapel and Chamber choir throughout the course of the year.

Many congratulations to Emma on achieving her music colours. We are very proud of all she has achieved in her first year at Repton, both on her individual instruments, and as part of the school ensembles. She is very deserving of being one of just five pupils awarded music colours this term.
