The hottest days of the year so far have seen the Mitre transformed, with a BBQ beach day and the dusting down of the House “family sized” paddling pool!
The weekend was an excuse for lots of ice-cream, bottles of cold water and “dips” in the paddling pool as well as plenty of extra spray from the House hose pipe. As you can see from the pictures in the gallery lots of fun was enjoyed by all, as the girls relaxed between sessions of revision ahead of their important summer examinations. There was even some inter-house volley ball on the Mitre lawn and plenty of opportunity to use the new House croquet set.
Today saw the dining room transformed into a beach BBQ scene – complete with tropical sunset back drop and inflatable sea gulls! Trish prepared a delicious menu from mango and chilli chicken at lunchtime to a kebab and burger bar for supper. The girls have enjoyed the day immensely and are now ready for the hard work of examinations in the remaining days of this half term.
