Old Reptonian George Rainsford (M'96) is currently playing the lead role of Bertram in Shakespeare's "All's Well That Ends Well" at the National Theatre (Olivier stage) directed by Marianne Elliott (War Horse, St Joan). The show has received stellar reviews, including 5*s from The Sunday Times ("A Masterpiece") and 4*s from The Times, The Guardian, Daily Express, Daily Telegraph, Financial Times, Metro, Time Out, Evening Standard and the Sunday Express.
It is George’s second production at the National Theatre following last year's double bill of "Chatroom/ Citizenship", directed by Anna Mackmin, which also enjoyed a UK Tour and a slot at the Hong Kong Art's Festival. George can also be seen playing Luke, the son of Boyd (Trevor Eve) throughout the last series of "Waking The Dead" and in a small role in the upcoming feature film "Wild Target", with Bill Nighy.
