New House does the Hockey Double

The boys of New House finished off the Lent term in dramatic, victorious style by winning both the Junior and Senior Hockey finals. The Juniors, ably led by Luke Cosford, overturned School House 2-0 in the semi-final, before comfortably beating a strong Orchard side by the same scoreline in the final. The Seniors didn't have it so easy, though. They drew 1-1 with Latham in the semis before winning on flicks, with Andy Evans proving to be the hero in goal, setting up a final with Orchard. In a closely contested game, a Steve Mullen strike from a penalty corner early in the game turned out to settle the competition and New House had completed an historic double! Well done indeed to all the boys involved.
