National Schools Symphony Orchestra

Many congratulations to B-Blocker Joseph Jankinson who has been selected to play principal oboe in the National Schools Symphony Orchestra this summer. The ensemble, which was founded in 1994 and boasts Sir John Eliot Gardiner as patron, meets every summer for a week of intensive rehearsals before performing a concert. Previously led by former ENO conductor, Mark Shanahan, and international pianist, Peter Donohoe, the week's course will provide Joseph with a remarkable insight into the world of professional music whilst also giving him the experience of playing with some of the finest school musicians in the land. We wish him every success.
