On Saturday the Girls’ U18 team won their National Indoor Final after a tense and fast-paced match against Kingston Grammar School.
This is Repton's first U18 Indoor title to go with the 5 outdoor National victories (2005-2009) and the U16 Indoor victory in 2006. A confident start bought some early chances and two goals were scored by Repton in the first five minutes, Kingston made a good counter-attack however and the score was soon 2-1 and remained this way until half time. The second half saw the Repton girls really pick up the pace and take back control of the game and the final score of 8-4 to Repton represents this effort.

The girls fully deserved this win after their commendable commitment to training, particularly working hard on their indoor game in recent months. Our full squad of eleven was used to good effect and all were able to contribute to this final match as a culmination of their efforts.
A great atmosphere in the Nottingham Trent FM Arena was the perfect backdrop to such an important game and the Repton supporters’ enthusiasm stood out in the crowd. Please click here to read the full match report. You can also click here to read the report on the England Hockey website.
Goalscorers: Joanna Leigh 2, Ellie Green 2, Shona McCallin, Sophie Hawkins (PS), Becky Siebert, Wiz Mumby.
An outstanding victory - we now hope to repeat the success in the outdoor finals in March.
