More individual honours for Johnny Gorman

Johnny Gorman has been busy collecting more individual awards to add to his collection in recent weeks. On Sunday, 8th May, Johnny was presented with Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Scholar of the Year 2010/11 trophy at half time in the Black Country derby at Molyneaux Stadium. His success in winning Wolves’ trophy led to an invitation to collect a Premier League Scholar of the Year award on Tuesday, 10th May at Bolton Wanderers’ Reebok Stadium. The awards ceremony was hosted by television presenter Vernon Kaye and Bolton’s sporting superstar, boxer Ameer Khan. Johnny is set to pick up Wolves’ Academy Player of the Year shortly, crowning a successful two years’ work which has seen his breakthrough to the full Northern Ireland side.  Johnny has a two-year professional contract with Wolves and, regardless of whether the team is playing in the Premier League or battling to gain promotion from the Championship, he will be pushing for regular first team action next year having played such a prominent role for the Reserves this year. Everyone at The Cross will be rooting for him in the coming year!
