Mitre support MacMillan Cancer Charity

Mitre girls have been busy this evening decorating cupcakes in order to raise money for the MacMillan cancer support charity as part of their annual “World’s Biggest coffee morning” event. This is the third year running that the House have chosen to take part in this event and their cakes are always very well received by staff and pupils alike.

The girls enjoyed time after tea creating some interesting looking cakes – with a huge of variety of creations and a significant variance on the amount of icing! These will be sold in the Grubber tomorrow break-time and to staff in the Under-croft.

With two million people in the UK living with cancer, the need for the service provided by MacMillan has never been greater and we hope that tomorrow we will be able to raise enough money to pay for a visit from a MacMillan family support worker.
