The Mitre had a wonderful afternoon of netball this afternoon, with both the Junior A and B team winning the inter-House cups for netball and retaining the title.

The A team played some superb netball, beating The Garden, The Abbey and then The Field on their way to the final. The B team did the same and both teams went into the finals having won all of their round-robin matches. The final for the A team against The Garden was played in great spirit and the team showed they were on good form, leading the game by 6-0 at the end of the first half. They were tight and made some excellent passes and interceptions which allowed them to keep winning the ball for Mitre and feeding the circle. The B team played their final against The Abbey. This was an excellent game, and the B team who had been winning by significant margins all afternoon worked hard in this last game to take a very convincing win.
All the girls played superbly and the spirit of the afternoon was wonderful, with lots of support from the older years and plenty of hot chocolate to keep the supporters going!
The girls have already decided that they would like a “Domino’s Pizza” for their victories and it was lovely to see them playing in such good spirits and with such determination on the Courts. Well done indeed to all the players. Thank you to Miss O and the umpires for a lovely afternoon.
