The Boys' 1st XI became Midlands' Hockey Champions yesterday in a close and thrilling tournament.
After a mixed season the team travelled to Cannock Hockey Club knowing that the opposition would be tough. The boys won their Pool with victories over Bromsgrove and King Edwards and a draw with Trent. Both the semi-final against Worksop and the final against Bromsgrove finished in draws and were decided on penalties. Whilst goalkeeper Stephen Attwood (P) saved two penalties from the opposition, the Repton boys scored all of theirs qualifying them for the National Finals in April.
