Mexican Fiesta Success!

Mexican Fiesta Success!

The Mexican Fiesta on Saturday night was a huge success, and the L6th and Mrs Parish want to thank all of the parents who came, and the many others who offered their support for a wonderful evening. Trish cooked a delicious Mexican feast - with plenty of homemade salsa and delicious chilli and chocolate chicken. There was some good competition in the quiz and some wonderful performances on the evening from Mitre girls. The B Block maintained a long standing Mitre tradition, by singing a song to the assembled parents. Parents were also greeted by Wiebke Green playing the harp in the hallway. It was wonderful too to see performances from Kate Dyer, Tamsin Bowers and Kiki Betts-Dean in the dining room, who all performed brilliantly. The auction was a great success - and Mrs Parish was a hot bidder for the Tim Henman shirt! The evening is set to raise over £2,000 for charity and we look foward to our next fund raising event on the Sale of Work Day after half term. Once again, a huge thanks to parents for their generous support of the evening.
